Effective: September 18, 2026
PinScope is a Pinterest research, analytics, content-planning and publishing application operated under the Decor Areas project. This policy describes how PinScope handles information when people use the service.
PinScope uses Pinterest OAuth. Users authorize access on Pinterest and PinScope does not request or collect Pinterest passwords. Access is limited to scopes required for enabled features, such as reading account, Board and Pin information and, when authorized, creating or managing Pins and Boards.
Information is used to provide Pinterest research, account analytics, content planning, publishing, scheduling and related product functionality; to secure the service; and to support users.
PinScope does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by infrastructure providers only as reasonably necessary to host and operate the service. Pinterest-derived information is handled subject to applicable Pinterest developer requirements.
Credentials are treated as sensitive and are not exposed in the browser UI. Data is retained only as reasonably necessary for the enabled product functionality, security, legal requirements and permitted backups. Production storage practices will follow applicable Pinterest API storage requirements.
Users can revoke PinScope's Pinterest authorization through Pinterest settings. Users may also request deletion of eligible PinScope-held information. See the Data Deletion page.
